England RFC face South Africa in the Rugby World Cup final on Saturday morning, but that’s not the only cup competition taking place, with 6 Exeter Panthers teams in cup action in the Exeter Youth League Cup, all looking to book their place in the next round draw.
Under 15s face Moors Youth Hawks at Betty’s Mead. Moors currently sit top of Division 2 having won their opening 3 games. Panthers will look to get back to winning ways having been defeated in their last 2 outings.
Under 14s host Copplestone who in the last round of the cup scored 21 times, with the Panthers averaging over 11 goals per game there’s sure to be plenty of action in this fixture.
Under 12s play Exeter Arrows at St James school. Exeter Arrows currently sit 4th in division 3, and are unbeaten at home (W1 D1) with the Under 12s unbeaten in all competition this season, they’ll be hopeful they can inflict Arrows first home defeat.
Under 11s play North Tawton Youth at Betty’s mead, a team they’ve not encounter before. Oisin Tippett’s team are hoping home advantage will see them progress through to the next round.
Under 11 pinks face somewhat of a local derby when they play at Hamlin lane versus Heavitree Hurricanes. Pinks hope to get one over their rivals and book their place in the next round.
Under 9 pinks host Ottery St Mary, Gary Brown believes if his team show the desire they did in the previous round where they were victorious in a 2-0 win against a resilient Starcross team, they’ll have no problems seeing themselves in the draw for the next round.
