Exeter Panthers COVID-19 Training Guidelines

  • Each team will be given an allotted training time, please DO NOT arrive earlier to minimise team crossover.                                                               
  • Only 1 adult or parent should accompany the child, and every child must have an adult with them. Parents must ensure the child is well and has no symptoms –e.g. a cough or temperature, and that there have been no symptoms in the household for the previous 14 days.                                        
  • Parents will be encouraged to walk or cycle to Bettys Mead due to limited parking.                                                                                                
  • When accessing the field please ensure 2m social distancing is adhere to at all time.                                                                                                               
  • Spectating parents will not to be permitted to be in groups of more than 6, social distancing of 2m must also be adhered.                                                      
  • Each player will need to initially bring their own antibacterial hand gel, labelled with their name, this must be used every time, they enter and exit the training area.                                                                                               
  • Parents are expected to hold onto their child’s drinks bottle and give it to them when advised, this eliminates the risk of children picking up, and drinking from the wrong drinks bottle.                                                         
  • If a child receives a superficial injury, parents will be required to attend their child, and if necessary, take the child home.                                               
  • Players requiring toilet facilities will only be permitted to use these 1 at a time, the door will remain locked to control access, a nominated person will hold the key and control entry. Players will be encouraged to wash their hands for 20 seconds after using the toilet. The nominated person will sanitise the door handles, sink, taps and toilet after each use, and lock the access door.                                                                                                                 
  • Parents will be expected to manage any situations where the child needs closer interaction, such as tying their shoelace, so must always remain in attendance.                                                                                                
  • In the event of any persistent breach of social distancing guidelines by adults or children, they will be asked to leave training.                                            
  • Goalkeeper must not remove gloves at any time, and only dampen gloves with water.                                                                                                   
  • No spitting is permitted at any time.                                                               
  • Latex gloves will be available for coaches to wear but it is not expected that coaches will wear masks.                                                                             
  • When exiting the field please do so promptly ensuring 2m social distancing is adhere to at all time.                                                                              
  • If anyone in your household, or anyone you have come into contact with experiences COVID-19 symptoms you will inform the club so appropriate action can be taken.

Please be reminded, if you or your child is symptomatic, living in a household with a possible COVID-19 infection or if you are classified as extremely vulnerable on health grounds, the guidance is that you should remain at home.
